What is an API? / What is the GPTZero API?

An API, in full application programming interface, is a set of rules that enables two applications to communicate with or integrate with each other.

The GPTZero API integrates with your existing system to detect whether text was generated by AI. We accept both files and text input, and return probabilities on the sentence, paragraph, and document level.

With the GPTZero API, you can:

• Detect AI-generated text at a document, paragraph, and sentence level
• Get probabilities and detailed statistics
• Run batched inference over several files
